A quiet and calm West Village brownstone inspired by modern Belgian design

This West Village townhouse, dating back to 1867, offers a tranquil retreat from the bustling New York City streets. Designed by Arianna De Gasperis of And Studio and architect Elizabeth Roberts, the 1,600-square-foot home combines modern elegance with a touch of European sensibility, inspired by designers Axel Vervoordt and Vincent Van Duysen. The interior features a serene blend of neutral tones, dark timber, veined marble, and textured plaster walls, reflecting a refined yet relaxed luxury. The home’s design embraces its historical charm with antique stone fireplace mantles and a cohesive flow between open living spaces. De Gasperis also incorporated Belgian design elements through hardware and linen, creating a harmonious and sophisticated family home.
