In the off-the-grid cabin retreat of director Anthony Russo in the Angeles National Forest, architectural hardware by Peter van Cronenburg plays a pivotal role in blending rustic charm with modern sophistication. Van Cronenburg’s custom bronze doorknobs, cast from local river rocks, and his expertly crafted hardware details enhance the cabin's earthy, elegant feel. These bespoke pieces, along with Commune Design’s thoughtful renovations, complement the cabin’s blend of Shaker and Japanese influences, and transform the historically significant structure into a contemporary escape while honoring its rugged, remote setting.

Designer Ken Fulk has transformed a dilapidated 1913 Romanesque Revival cathedral in San Francisco into Saint Joseph’s Arts Society, a vibrant cultural and retail space. Purchased in 2016, the once-decrepit building has been meticulously restored with the help of California architecture firm Page & Turnbull. The revitalized structure now includes a retail area featuring brands like Assouline and Officine Universelle Buly, a mezzanine with Carpenters Workshop Gallery's first West Coast location, and a private bar and lounge for Arts Society subscribers. The nave serves as a communal gathering space, with the apse set up for performances. Fulk's vision was to reflect the artistic spirit of the community and its contributions to the world.

Garde's new location in Santa Barbara County prominently features architectural hardware by Peter van Cronenburg, whose designs have been incorporated throughout the space. Van Cronenburg, known for his sophisticated hardware, created custom cabinet and door pulls specifically for Garde Summerland. His work is displayed on various cabinets and doors, seamlessly blending with the store's curated aesthetic. Additionally, Garde's new showroom showcases a whitewashed oak table by Arno Declercq, whose usual "dark and moody" iroko wood collections were adapted to suit the lighter, airy vibe of the new store.

Jenni Kayne's Los Angeles home, designed with Belgian architect Vincent Van Duysen, is a masterclass in serene, minimalist design. Set on a secluded plot in a lush canyon, the house seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor spaces, featuring interconnected volumes that center around a tranquil courtyard garden. Van Duysen’s modernist approach harmonizes with Kayne’s aesthetic vision, creating a space that exudes calm through a neutral palette, natural materials, and a seamless flow of light. The result is a refined, tranquil retreat that reflects Kayne’s commitment to effortless, gracious living.
